Global Urban History Partnership

In 2023, GUHP established a partnership with the NYU Department of History and the Centre for Urban History at the University of Leicester. The goal of the partnership is to share resources and expand intellectual interchange in the field of global urban history to the benefit of all three partners.

The Global Urban History Partnership builds on close connections between scholars at GUHP, NYU, and CUH that go back to GUHP’s first conference in 2019 at the University of Leicester. The partnership is designed as a dynamic, ongoing effort to seek new opportunities for all concerned. Guy Ortolano (NYU) and Toby Lincoln (University of Leicester) serve as directors of the new partnership.
