About My Work
My research seeks to place Latin American history in dialogue with the main lines of research in global history. GUHP develops an agenda that foregrounds the interactions and tensions between local and global dynamics. The urban space is the setting for my work in global intellectual history and cultural history of the press, my main areas of work. My work in intellectual history, which I develop as a researcher at the Center for Intellectual History at the University of Quilmes, is nourished by the Latin American tradition in urban cultural history, which includes names such as José Luis Romero, Ángel Rama, Beatriz Sarlo, Nicolau Sevcenko and Adrián Gorelik (with whom I work at the Center for Intellectual History). My work in press history focuses on the process of information globalization and global circulation of news, which is an interurban process. In that direction, we work in a research group based at the University of San Martín with cultural historians of the press.
